Also, she is well-known for her roles on television as the character Dr. Amber Volakis in Fox's sitcom House Danielle Brookson in USA Network's drama Covert Affairs and Lura Grant in HBO's drama Big Love. Dudek is from Massachusetts and was a student at Northwestern University. Her first performance was as an actor in The Iphigenia Cycle, a show at the University. After the Broadway show, she moved on a trip to New York City and won a Joseph E.Calloway Award. American Theater Magazine named Dudek one of the ten promising young actors to watch. Dudek was offered roles on television and also on the large screen. Matthew Heller was the husband of the talented actor from the year 2008 until 2016. Dudek was originally born at Boston Massachusetts, on March 22 in 1975. She was raised in Newton. Her early years were spent in Newton. Dudek landed her first recurring part in House in the role of Amber Volakis. She was one of the forty doctors that Dr. Gregory House considered for regular roles in his team. In the Heart and Head episode of the season finale, her character was eliminated. House will later see her as a deformed version of herself in the episode of five seasons Saviors. Dudek was later seen on Mad Men as next-door neighbor Francine Hanson as well as in Big Love as one of Alby Grant's antagonistic wives both of them recurring roles. Dudek was cast in Covert Affairs as Danielle Brooks as the sister of the protagonist. She also played Tiffany Wilson, the cruise-line owner on White Chicks (2004 comedy) and Anthony Hopkins' daughter in The Human Stain.
