Eva Mendes is both an actor and a model. Her name was discovered by a talent agent who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue an occupation in the field of entertainment. After much thought and consideration, she decided to leave the University to enter the world of entertainment. In the film Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror she debuted and disappointed herself with her performance. In order to perfect her acting skills, she trained extremely hard and was featured in many low-budget flicks to showcase her talents. It wasn't an easy path for this actor however, her determination and perseverance did not go unrewarded. It was after her successful appearance during Training Day that her career began to take off.
