Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers towards DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked working in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
